- Samuel M. Switzenbaum, Chief Executive Officer

Sam has earned a reputation for vision, innovation and leadership throughout his 40-plus-year career in commercial and residential real estate. As the President and CEO of Strouse Greenberg & Co., a privately held full-service real estate company headquartered in Philadelphia he managed a $1 billion portfolio of investment grade assets. During his 22 years there, he became its largest shareholder and the driving force in its development and management enterprise until 1992, when Strouse Greenberg & Co. merged with Richard I. Rubin Company and the Rubin Organization. Following that, Mr. Switzenbaum served as Vice Chairman of the Rubin Organization and, as one of its four principal shareholders, a member of its executive committee.

- Christopher McGrath, President and COO

Christopher McGrath oversees areas including real estate development, equity / debt capital markets, and acquisitions. Christopher brings investment banking experience to the firm. Currently, Christopher is focused on expanding and developing the Sycamore proprietary multifamily product. Prior to joining Switzenbaum & Associates, Christopher leveraged significant financial service experience with UBS Investment Bank of New York and UBS Financial Services Incorporated of Puerto Rico. While at UBS Investment Bank, Christopher focused on mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, private placements, and real estate advisory work. Throughout his career, Christopher has worked on over $2.5 billion in equity and debt capital markets transactions, including over $400 million of development and equity / debt capital markets transactions at Switzenbaum, including assisting with $50 million in EB-5 capital raising transactions. Christopher received a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance & Development from Columbia University and a BA in Political Science from Brown University with an emphasis in finance and economics. Christopher is fully bilingual in Spanish, which allows him to offer pro bono work and community presence to underserved minority populations.

As Vice President of Operations and New Development, Janette oversees all aspects of the multifamily property operations and new development opportunities. Prior to joining Switzenbaum and Associates, Janette was responsible for properties across the Southeast for clients such as Blue Rock Real Estate, Spectrum Companies, Delray Ventures and Camden Development Incorporated. Her extensive experience includes asset renovations and project management with a specialty in land sourcing and new construction communities.

Carolyn joined Switzenbaum & Associates in 2021. Upon graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and receiving her Masters in Real Estate Finance from the University of Cambridge, she worked with Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Investing team in London analyzing pan-European acquisition opportunities for multiple asset classes. She is a member of the development, acquisitions and capital markets team.
